Karen is a masterful clinician who has been helping people heal for almost 20 years. She has tirelessly pursued the advancement of her clinical skills with coursework and certifications too great in number to list. She treats the entire spectrum of orthopedic injuries and dysfunctions.Karen’s love for movement began in her youth with dance, a passion that led her to receiving a BFA in Dance from Colorado State University. Physical was a natural progression for her to learn techniques that help with pain management and the restoration of movement for others. She received a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Grand Valley State University and is certified in rehab-based Pilates through Polestar Pilates.
Karen has earned manual therapy certification through St. Augustine, which is a very difficult and selective program. She has extensive experience treating the hips and spine. Her own experience with hip preservation surgeries as well as her background in Pilates has deepened her knowledge and passion for treating these areas. Karen utilizes the Pilates method for treating those with scoliosis, and is also certified in functional dry needling and kinesio-taping. During her free time, Karen enjoys dancing, biking, snow sports, camping and simply being outdoors and enjoying the Colorado sunshine with her husband and son.
