Abby is originally from Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. She attended the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine for her Bachelor’s of Science degree, followed by a Master’s of Physical Therapy, she also holds a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from Regis University and brings over 10 years of experience to her clinical practice. She has worked in many different clinical settings, including the inpatient, outpatient and aquatic rehabilitation departments at Central Vermont Medical Center, and subsequently positions in the Caledonia County School District and in an outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine clinic.
In her quest for more outdoor adventures and to see more of the country, she moved to Colorado in February of 2008. During her first year in Denver, Abby studied with a naturopath/chiropractor that practiced advanced neurology and naturopathy treatments. Utilizing her knowledge in neurology from this internship and her background with CranioSacral and manual therapy techniques, Abby now specializes in neuromuscular and postural re-education since joining Avanti Therapy in 2010. Abby practices BodyTalk and is certified by the Barcelona Scoliosis Physiotherapy School for three-dimensional treatment of scoliosis. Other current certifications/proficiencies include Biosomatics, Muscle Energy Technique (MET), and vestibular rehabilitation, more specifically treatment of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).
