Tamryn Thrasher received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She worked in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine for 13 years before taking time off to raise her son.
She took full advantage of that time to add to her list of continuing education courses, numbering near 60 at last count. Before returning to the working world of physical therapy, she returned to school and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2013. This program focused on evidence-based manual therapy and is taught by many experts in the field of physical therapy. Tammy was certified in Functional Dry Needling through KinetaCore in 2015. She has also completed specialized training for those with scoliosis through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School (BSPTS), the leaders in Schroth–based training for scoliosis.
Tamryn came to physical therapy through an inherent desire to help others and a love of science. She finds connecting with clients while working jointly to improve their health a wonderful way to fulfill both of these passions. Experienced in outpatient orthopedics, sports medicine, industrial medicine, orthopedic home health, and trained in Schroth-based PT for Scoliosis, she practices with a combination of research-based manual skills, dry needling, and therapeutic exercise.
She feels that providing individualized care that accounts for each client’s specific needs and goals are essential to the rehab process. Originally from central Wisconsin, Tamryn has lived in Colorado since 1991. She enjoys hiking, yoga, spending time with friends/family, creative expression, and learning new things in PT and beyond. She looks forward to continuing to assist people in overcoming their current obstacles and meeting their goals.
While Tamryn is able to treat the full spectrum of people with orthopedic problems, she is particularly effective with those experiencing following:
