Melody Payne - Avanti TherapyLicensed Massage Therapist

Melody, a licensed massage therapist, grew up in Colorado and graduated from CU Boulder in 1997 with a degree in Kinesiology. She went on to graduate with honors from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2000.

Melody has had a successful and robust career for 18 years. In 2016, her daughter Molly was diagnosed with moderate scoliosis at age 6. This diagnosis, along with the experience of growing up with a mom who had severe scoliosis and went through 2 spinal fusion surgeries as an adult, inspired Melody to specialize in massage and bodywork for clients with scoliosis. Melody and Molly were extremely fortunate to find Julie Edelman PT, DPT, at Avanti Physical Therapy, who has not only helped to keep Molly’s scoliosis under control during her crucial growing years, but who has also been mentoring Melody in how to safely and effectively work with clients who have scoliosis. This training has been so valuable to Melody, not only because of the opportunity to collaborate with experts in the treatment of scoliosis, but because it is hard to find evidence-based education for bodyworkers in order to more effectively and safely treat people with scoliosis.

Melody was recently certified in Advanced Myofascial Techniques (CAMT) through the Advanced Trainings Program taught by internationally recognized director and instructor, Til Lucau. These courses have given Melody many more skills to address issues including sciatica, headaches, hip and pelvis imbalances, and rib issues. During her 18 years as a massage therapist, Melody also is experienced working with people with back and neck pain, post motor vehicle accident, chronic pain, TMJ dysfunction, joint replacements, post-surgical pain, tinnitus, prenatal clients, and clients with Fibromyalgia.

Melody lives in Westminster with her husband Cody and their 2 kids, Nolan and Molly. In her free time, she loves to run, hike, travel, and read.
